For those that are in good health but bored, there are ways to still venture out and protect yourself through social distancing. Here’s our breakdown of what it means, and how you can keep yourself safe and sane during these times. Here’s the reason why experts are suggesting the 6 rule. If a person is infected speaks, exhales, coughs or sneezes, the droplets travel anywhere from 3 to 6 feet before gravity takes effect to pull the particles towards the ground. Limiting the distance between people can help to limit the spread while traveling.
Keep in mind, this may not work perfectly for every situation. This is especially critical with touching seats, hand rails on trains or buses, door and sink knobs or door handles if you’re taking uber or lyft. To keep your hands clean, to best option, believe or not, is the use soap and warm water. Check out the video below how soap and hand sanitizer compare, when it comes to the Coronavirus. The key things to take from this is to remember to keep your hands clean, and try to avoid touching your face with unwashed hands.
In our studio, we instructing the washing of hands at our cleaning station before and after each session. We’re also taking additional measures to sanitize door and sink knobs and key pads upon entry. Remember, that whatever you choose to do, be informed of the safe measures to take, and find something creative to do during this time to use your time wisely.
Here's an educational and fun video explaining what washing your hands does to the Coronavirus, and the right method.
]]>Creating is one of those things that tends to bring people joy. Usually, when we first begin to learn something new, it can bring some form of anxiousness. This is especially true when we want things to turn out perfect or to simply "get it". But the more we try to create instead of being focused on the end result, to our surprise, we end up enjoying the process.
So in all you do, try to enjoy the process and don't be in a rush to get to the end. Eventually we all get there. #beinthemoment #createjoy
Sidenote: You've gotta love her smile!❤️❤️❤️

There's something about discovering new places with friends that adds value to life. You could always create pottery by yourself, but it's definitely more fun with people who know you the best. Yes... That means they may laugh at your struggles or better yet, keep encouraging you to not give up.
This trio definitely embodied the essence of friendship. They encouraged one another, gave pointers along the way until the VERY end of their 3 hours. It's a beautiful thing to see people who want to keep going.
The part that is most rewarding is seeing that look of, "I'm finally getting it..." and sharing that with friends, that makes it worth the experience.

As this quote goes, "“A good friend listens to your adventures. A best friend makes them with you." #thetruth
“Behind unfinished art cries an unfinished artist.” – Terri Guillemets #quoteoftheday
This quote reminds me of how it feels when things linger on longer then they should. Or maybe we should just call it what it is - procrastination. It's kinda like watching the clean clothes pile up on top of the dryer or making an excuse as to why you're not heading to the gym. Every day that passes by, you only dread the thought of how long it will take. When it finally gets done, I usually feel a bit foolish. Thinking to myself, "That wasn't as bad as I thought it would be."
Can you relate?
The Key thing to remember is just because it wasn't finished then, doesn't mean it wasn't waiting for the right moment, unlike the clean clothes piled a mile high. 😒

I was totally surprised when Paul from Fox 5 Good Day Atlanta reached out to us. This was definitely a new experience for my staff, some of members that frequent A.C. Studios, and myself. Honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect, especially being interviewed on LIVE TV with no way to edit bloopers. But I have to say, Paul was so easy to talk to, both him and side-kick Tim, his cameraman.
One of our instructors, Hannah, was there to give a few tips to Hilda, one of our newest members at our Alpharetta pottery studio. The most surprising part was how he found us on Instagram by doing a simple search. It goes to show that social media does make it difference!
